Ranking Every WWE PPV Named After Wrestlers From Worst To Best
6. Rock Bottom (The Rock)
One month before Rock Bottom, The Rock had become the apple of Vince McMahon's eye, WWF Champion at the expense of Mankind and the jewel of The Corporation. By December 1998, McMahon named the pay-per-view after Rocky's finisher then watched in horror as Commissioner Shawn Michaels installed Mick Foley as his challenger.
Both that match and the 'Buried Alive' effort between The Undertaker and Steve Austin are worth checking out again. Aided by a cool gimmick that hadn't yet been overdone, 'Taker and Austin delighted fans with their brawling ways, and Foley was always special in the sympathetic role.
The other six matches on the show are skippable, possibly aside from a curious Steve Blackman vs. Owen Hart match. Owen did everything in his power to make Blackman look good here, and it almost worked.
Best Match: Steve Austin vs. The Undertaker.
Worst Match: The Headbangers vs. The Oddities.
