The Network totally changed WWE's approach to pay-per-view years ago.

Now, instead of traditional monthlies offered to hardcores with deep pockets, the company can offer multiple big events each month for one low price point. In January 2020 alone, for example, WWE gave fans no less than three pay-per-view-esque presentations on the service - they make the rules these days, not the stuffy box office providers.

This means that 2020's first half (as weird as it's been due to outside factors) has seen a whopping 10 supercards. Which were the best, you ask? Well, it's obviously a matter of taste, but this list attempts to be more objective than subjective in deciding which pay-per-view deserves the crown.

WWE gets a lot of sh*t from fans and industry critics alike for favouring soap opera over nuts n' bolts pro wrestling, but there have been some absolutely wonderful bouts and moments under the McMahon banner already this year.

So, from the pageantry of WrestleMania and erm...Saudi Arabian stadium shows, to the grit of NXT and relative modesty of NXT UK, here's every WWE pay-per-view of 2020 thus far ranked.
