For the third 'Old School Raw' in 2014, WWE dressed up the stage and ring like it was the mid-90s once more and leaned heavily on fuzzy nostalgia to sell the show. Again, they intelligently used an icon (this time Ric Flair) to further a feud between Randy Orton and John Cena. They also had other legends, like Roddy Piper, the New Age Outlaws and Jake Roberts on tap to please the live crowd.

Speaking of Piper, his heated confrontation with The Shield put Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins over without sacrificing that Piper cool people had paid to see. This, to date, remains WWE's best 'Old School' attempt for the flagship show.
