It's not the best reunion-style special in Raw's history though. That distinction goes to the 'Homecoming' episode of 3 October 2005. The reunion? Why it was WWE and the USA Network, of course; the flagship had been on TNN/Spike TV since 2000, and so WWE were keen to trumpet their re-arrival back 'home' on USA.

They did it in grand fashion, producing a titan of an episode.

Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle worked a 30-minute Iron Man match, Mick Foley appeared on Piper's Pit, Edge and Matt Hardy faced off in a Ladder match and Steve Austin delighted everyone by hitting a Stunner on Vince McMahon. Adding to all that, there was a 'Legends Gathering' involving Dusty Rhodes, Jimmy Snuka, Harley Race and others.
