Ranking Every WWE Return That’s Already Happened In 2020

5. Sheamus

Sheamus would undoubtedly be higher here if WWE weren't so keen on lazy writing.

When he returned on the 3 January SmackDown and laid out Shorty G, it seemed like a heavenly scenario for both. Sheamus, knowing it'd be wise to get his foe over first before beating him, could've dispensed with typical bully-boy tactics and acknowledged that Chad Gable is a former Olympian instead.

That didn't happen. WWE went the easy road and had Sheamus make short jokes when they really needed to move away from that. Their matches were fine, but that feud could've been so much more. It shouldn't hold Sheamus back from getting into the mix for one of the titles on Fridays anyway.

He has a bright 2020 ahead, and WWE's roster is better when he's around.
