Ranking EVERY WWE Royal Rumble Match - From Worst To Best
44. 1995
Vince McMahon's roster was skinnier than those Slim Jims ex-WWF fave Randy Savage was chowing down on in 1995. Savage had fled for WCW to join fellow fed alumni like Hulk Hogan, and it showed. Of the 30 men involved in that year's Rumble, only Shawn Michaels, British Bulldog, Owen Hart, and Lex Luger felt like they had any chance of winning.
In fact, that quartet contributed 100% of the actual star power in the ring.
Check out these back-to-back entrant sequences for proof that McMahon had sod all to work with. Eli Blu, Duke Droese, Jimmy Del Ray, Sione, and Tom Prichard all entered between #3-#7. Later, Mantaur and Aldo Montoya were #20 and #21, respectively. Good lord, that's enough to make even the most hardcore New Generation mark ask for a refund!
HBK "skinning the cat" to win the match is timeless, but even that can't save the 1995 Rumble from a low spot. There were only 60 seconds between each worker for a reason. Vince knew he couldn't string this nonsense out for a full hour. He had to race through everyone as quickly as possible and hope his audience was in a forgiving mood when the likes of Timothy Well and Kwang hit the ring.
