Hopes were high for the 2022 women's Rumble when Sasha Banks entered as #1. If nothing else, at least fans would be guaranteed some thrills and spills as the Legit Boss tried to wrestle her way to an unlikely win. Or not. Sasha was eliminated 10 minutes later by Queen Zelina. Goodbye, Banks, and goodbye hopes and dreams of a crowd wanting a killer match.

Those praying for someone to save the day would leave disappointed. Far too many of the entrants went less than two minutes; Melina lasted 53 seconds, Kelly Kelly went just over 60, Dana Brooke barely broke the two-minute mark, Cameron and Carmella were in for 50 secs apiece, Ivory was dumped out after 25 seconds, Molly Holly after 20, etc, etc.

It was a hellish mix of wasted moments.

WWE was building towards Ronda Rousey's company comeback and their latest attempt to convince everyone that she could be a team player. Rousey won the match by eliminating Charlotte Flair, then pointed at the big WrestleMania sign as critics circled like sharks waiting on Ronda's latest foray into wrestling to fall apart. It wouldn't be too long before it did.
