Roman Reigns Royal Rumble 2015

It's probably cheap to piggy back on 2014 with the following year's Rumble, but here goes. Besides, fans still hadn't forgiven WWE for Batista-gate 12 months on. Worse, they'd decided they didn't want to cheer for McMahon's latest pet project Roman Reigns either. He had support the prior year because he wasn't Big Dave. That wasn't the case in 2015.

He still wasn't Daniel Bryan, for crying out loud.

Look, that's not even the only issue with this Rumble. Much of the "action" meandered along like everyone had collectively agreed behind the curtain that it'd be hilarious if they went through the motions and phoned it in. Maybe that's unfair, but there were periods of total boredom as Corporate Kane and Big Show dominated the field.

Fans there live weren't digging it, and they struggled to muster up much excitement for Roman's demolition job on The Authority's grand plans come the end. Post-match, one very confused Dwayne Johnson marched out to raise Roman's hand. The Rock's face was a picture as Philadelphia's finest rained boos down on the pair of them. Rocky had just lived roughly the same nightmare his fellow Hollywood star Batista had before him, and he didn't bloody well like it.
