Triple H and Rey Mysterio's end-to-end efforts anchor an exciting-at-times Rumble that went on irritatingly early to allow for Undertaker-based ring stunts at the end of the pay-per-view.

Mysterio's reliance on the late Eddie Guerrero's memory was more than a little saccharine but astonishingly wasn't the worst it would get that year. The battle royal serviced a host of other angles that fed into that year's 'Show Of Shows' too, offering a host of hot eliminations that carried the occasionally-drab part of the match.
