It got easier and easier to chart precisely how much of a hate-filled man Vince McMahon became during the final years of his time as WWE’s creative head.

A stubborn old pr*ck 4 life, things got even worse when he secured a monopoly in 2001, beyond the pale when he luxuriated in that fact for most of the 2000s and 2010s, and off a cliff entirely when another organisation dared to run a wrestling show from 2019.

Three years into that (and seven months away from his first exit from the company), Vince McMahon presented two duffer Rumbles on one show - a feat almost impressive if it wasn't wholly depressing to sit through. With Sasha Banks getting a nothing run from #1, The Bella Twins breaking up a minuscule Riott Squad reunion certain sections of the audience pined for and the divisive Ronda Rousey's shock return, this was the far crueler of the two, too.
