Ranking EVERY WWE Royal Rumble's Biggest Surprise 1988-2022

28. 2000 - Dance Break

Edge Royal Rumble

The 2000 Royal Rumble pay-per-view was so brilliant as a show that few discuss how middling the titular main event itself is.

A lack of surprise was the specific problem - The Rock and The Big Show were nailed on winner and runner up respectively (or...the reverse of that in the post-script?) WWE never clarified the admin, making much of the match meaningless until they arrived. All apart from Rikishi, who lit up Madison Square Garden just weeks into his union with Too Cool.

The trio brought the house down with their dance before the lights came up and both Scotty Too Hotty and Grandmaster Sexay were sent packing.
