Ranking Every WWE Smackdown General Manager - From Worst To Best
3. Stephanie McMahon
After Vince McMahon regained full control over his company, he appointed a General Manager to each brand. Raw, in a shocker, got Eric Bischoff. SmackDown was put under the less-surprising management of Stephanie McMahon.
Naturally, a rivalry erupted between Bischoff and Stephanie, with the hated enemies doing everything they could to one-up each other (except for that time when Stephanie kissed Bischoff while he was dressed as Vince McMahon). Both GMs poached talent from each other, but Stephanie won that battle when she signed Undisputed WWE Champion Brock Lesnar to a SmackDown-exclusive contract.
Stephanie ran SmackDown for over two years, reinstating the retired United States Championship and presiding over some great in-ring action. Her downfall came when she ran afoul of her father by trying to put an end to his relationship with Sable.
The McMahon-McMahon tension led to an "I Quit" match at No Mercy 2003, which Vince won when Linda threw in the towel to save her daughter. Stephanie's tenure as GM ended and she disappeared from TV for years.
