In 2016, WWE pulled the trigger on another brand split. As a result, both Raw and SmackDown were once again given their own unique staging designs. Though there were similarities between them, there were enough differences to ensure that each show got its individuality back.

Some of those similarities included the large screen that was retained from the previous design, as well as identical ramps that were now one big LED board, allowing each show to flood the aisle way in its respective colours.

As far as differences go, SmackDown Live's screen was now surrounded by 16 smaller rectangular screens. Moreover, the entrance area was sandwiched between two separate LED boards, allowing each superstar to appear in the middle as they made their way onto the stage.

Still the current design, it is a great look that helped breathe new life into the show and was undoubtedly the change that the blue brand needed.
