11. The Revival

The creative team tried its best to push The Revival as their top tag team. However, losing to Roman Reigns and random storyline changes meant that Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson failed to replicate the success they achieved in NXT.

Before arriving on the blue brand, Dash and Dawson suffered a shocking defeat against Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins at the WrestleMania Kickoff show. There was zero storytelling in that rivalry as the jobbers suddenly overcame a challenge from the top guys. A few months later, The Revival recaptured the gold on RAW and held the belts for 49 days. After losing their red crowns, they surprisingly chased the 24/7 championship. Then out of nowhere, the duo found themselves at the top of the 'B' show's two-on-two wrestling department. Dash and Dawson won the SmackDown Tag Team Championships from The New Day at Clash of Champions.

They had a lackluster two-months rivalry with the trio. Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods laughed the last laugh over their opponents. The reason why the feud between these two phenomenal teams did not live up to the hype was that the writers used them as a second fiddle to the world title rivalry between Randy Orton and Kingston.

Orton lost that feud, and in came Brock Lesnar. 'The Beast Incarnate' turned Kingston's reign into a joke and sent The New Day member back to the tag team division. Vince McMahon tried to console 'The Dreadlocked Dynamo' and his buddies with the premier crowns of the two-on-two wrestling section. This entire saga diminished the prominence of the entire department.
