The cliff notes take on Finn Bálor's move to SmackDown is that he's going to a brand that favours actual wrestling over soap-opera style drama. Sort of anyway. Some trades elsewhere might change things, but Bálor must be buoyed by the thought of working with Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, Shinsuke Nakamura and even smaller stars like Ali at some point.

He's brought the Intercontinental gold along with him too, and that could similarly reinvigorate a title that hasn't meant much since Seth Rollins dropped it.
