36. WrestleMania VII - Sgt. Slaughter Vs. Hulk Hogan

When reflecting back on WrestleMania VII, the one major thing that sticks in the mind is the stunning match Randy Savage pulled out of the Ultimate Warrior before Savage emotionally reunited with Miss Elizabeth.

In the main event of this 1991 edition of the Showcase of the Immortals, it was Hulk Hogan stepping up to fight for the USA as the then-WWF looked to questionably capitalise on the Gulf War by making Sgt. Slaughter an Iraqi sympathiser who dethroned Ultimate Warrior to become WWF Champion.

Like most Hogan matches, the pace here was geriatric, with these two rivals milling around for 20 minutes before the inevitable big leg was dropped. It also didn't help that referee Earl Hebner could clearly see several pieces of interference from General Adnan, including a steel chair shot.
