It's true that 205 Live is better under Triple H's direction: centering around the action of the 16-man tournament for the vacant Cruiserweight Championship. It's true that Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali are fantastic athletes who will no doubt put on a thrilling contest if given enough time. And it's true that with the possibility of Neville and even Rey Mysterio returning to WWE, there are bright prospects ahead for the Cruiserweight division.

None of that, however, changes the fact that the build for Alexander and Ali has been utter pants. There's face vs. face, and then there's having absolutely no drama or intrigue going into a match. There's playing up the sportmanship and competition aspect, and then there's removing any of the pro wrestling feel.

There was a token attempt at some sort of drama this past week on 205 when Drake Maverick had a sit-down interview with Ali and Alexander, but Austin and Rock this was not. Mustafa and Cedric cut terribly scripted, stilted promos at each other, and no drama or tension was felt whatsoever.

Some are saying that this match deserves to be on the main card, perhaps as the show's opener, but with the way this has been built, it's the pre-show main event, at best.
