Ranking The Biggest Rivalries In Wrestling Every Year 1990-2020
14. 2007 - Batista Vs The Undertaker
There was so, so much to love about Batista Vs The Undertaker in 2007.
When The Undertaker won the Royal Rumble, he had three monster babyface Champions to choose from in the form of 'The Animal' himself, John Cena and Bobby Lashley. He chose Big Dave, choosing to enter into a legendary series nobody saw coming.
Neither were in any sort of form going into WrestleMania 23, but them viewing their midcard placement as a denigration quickly changed that. The Streak Vs Title showdown comfortably stole the show, and their battles on pay-per-view and television throughout the rest of the year did the same. In an era where WWE were moving to regular rematch spamming multi-match series', this made the concept look genuinely appealing.
