The story behind the match is what keeps it hovering above the bottom spot. The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase was at ringside holding the urn that his crew had stolen from The Undertaker while Larry Young, a Major League Baseball umpire, was drafted in to referee the match. The storyline based itself around the Major League Baseball strike at that time, although the strike had ended prior to Mania. The match itself was another dull affair by The Deadman's usual standards. This was due to the fact he was working with yet another proverbial 'dead horse' of a man in Bundy. He couldn't move freely enough to put on a compelling contest. The action was pretty formulaic. It offered very little more the traditional style of babyface Undertaker fighting a pretty useless big man, struggling for a bit and then making the big comeback for the win. Of course, Taker got his hands back on the urn during the match only for Karma to steal it back again. Yet again, the standing of the match goes against it. It was part of a bigger story line and set up another match at SumerSlam between Taker and Karma in a casket match.
