Ranking What Was Really The Best Wrestling Entrance Every Year 1990-2021

20. 2002 - Rey Mysterio, WWE SmackDown July 25, 2002

In perfect sync, Rey Mysterio was catapulted out of a hidden trapdoor just as the "Who's that jumping out the sky?" sting heralded his fabulous entrance.

Accompanied by an eruption of sparkling pyro, this is what separated WWE from WCW. WCW removed his mask; WWE captured with high-tech wonderment his profound superhero marketability. It didn't matter that his in-ring work was superior back in 1996; WWE created a merchandise sensation of an act that highlighted a faltering wider product.

He landed with perfect balance on his feet, creating an expectation of phenomenally agile ring work mounted by a legendary high-flier.
