So the wildly, laughably antiquated Cold War connotations stunk.

So f*ck.

Rusev entered WrestleMania 31 on a motherf*cking tank. This was the dumb, fun embodiment of professional wrestling, and it hardly mattered that "professional wrestling" in this context was defined as retrograde 1980s fare. It was promoted with the extravagant spectacle of WWE's soulless, cash-rich 21st century, and beyond the killer aesthetic, it put Rusev over as an invincible warlord and a big-time player.

That's the entire point of it all.
