Ranking What Was Really The Best Wrestling Entrance Theme Every Year 1990-2021

19. 2003 - Kenta Kobashi

All earnest drama, 'Grand Sword' certainly soundtracks the performer who used it: a thunderous clash of piano keys escalating constantly into a ridiculous(ly great) guitar solo.

After the two-minute mark, the solo descends into a clatter of drums ands revving, distorted guitars. It's a nasty, distressing, unpleasant contrast to the cleanliness of the arrangement, and it's perfect: the theme pummels you just like his opponents pummelled him, and by the end, the major key piano battles back into the mix. The song is the performer, the performer is the song, and it never sounded more resonant than it did ahead of his immortal GHC Title win over Mitsuharu Misawa on March 1.
