Ranking What Was Really The Best Wrestling Entrance Theme Every Year 1990-2021

8. 2014 - Kenny Omega

It's fitting that the Belt Collector, the greatest professional wrestler of all time, is also a collector of wrestling's greatest themes. Devil's Sky is covered imminently, where the propulsive grandeur of 'Battle Cry' narrowly missed out, but his video game-inspired presentation informed the giddy relentlessness of his DDT theme.

A totally hyperactive tribute to Dr. Wily's remix theme of Mega Man renown, it is unabashed in its inspiration, but it never resonates with a for-the-sake-of-it feeling. It captures his incredible, accelerating speed and the unique storytelling rhythm with which he would ultimately transform the entire industry.

There's a downbeat quality underneath the giddy explosions of sound, too. Even then, Omega grasped the power of measured melodrama.
