Ranking What Was Really The Best Wrestling Finisher Every Year 1990-2020

27. 1994 - Frog Splash

Best Finishers
WWE Network

Look at the position of Art Barr's body. It's almost literally unreal.

Adopted in tribute to his deceased friend and partner, Eddie Guerrero made the Frog Splash famous, but he only popularised it. Barr didn't invent it, either, but he made it his own, and nobody will ever match the execution - which is astonishing, given the athletic evolution of pro wrestling over the subsequent quarter century. Barr looked like an actual frog in full, beautiful flight, increasing his velocity as he flew through the air, but whether there's a psychological or simply "it looks cool" quality to it is immaterial.

The preternaturally gifted Barr was an irrepressible d*ckhead as a "Gringos Loco" in AAA; his Frog Splash was just something else he did that nobody else could.
