Ranking What Was REALLY The Worst Wrestling Match Every Year 1990-2021

22. 2000 - Kidman Vs. Ric Flair, WCW Thunder, May 3

Kronik Nia Jax
WWE Network

Every match on the May 3, 2000 WCW Thunder was held under New York Rules, in which there were no rules and the wrestlers had to count their own pins.

Kidman wrestled Ric Flair, floored him with a dropkick, and instead of immediately winning with the fast count he himself was legally allowed to do, he just punched him in the face repeatedly. And then didn't pin himself with a fast count either.

He was the heel.

That was Vince Russo's philosophy: book the most illogical sh*t imaginable and be the only thick tw*t alive incapable of asking the most obvious questions of why it might be a bad idea. What a complete moron. Then again, that might be because New York Rules matches suddenly became Tables matches at around the 20:00 mark.

Mike Awesome won the match between Kidman and Ric Flair after Kevin Nash powerbombed him and declared him the winner.
