Ranking What Was REALLY The Worst Wrestling Match Every Year 1990-2021

31. 1991 - Bobby Eaton & PN News Vs. Steve Austin & Terry Taylor, WCW Great American Bash

It's honestly a wonder that U.S. pro wrestling survived when the 1980s boom burst because f*cking hell both promotions served up the dumbest, lamest, least fashionable old sh*te you've ever seen.

Amongst the worst was this indescribably stupid Scaffold match fought under "capture the flag" rules. Each team tiptoed across a flimsy plank of wood erected at a dangerous height and brawled, very tentatively, in a bid to win. Boring by design and fake-looking because how could you possibly blame them for not laying it in?

They had to work it like four cartoon thieves sneaking away with the jewels.
