Ranking What Was REALLY The Worst Wrestling Match Every Year 1990-2021

8. 2014 - John Cena Vs. Bray Wyatt, Extreme Rules

John Cena was sh*t, you know.

His sheer charisma combined with Arn Anderson's savvy match layouts generated waves of noise, but his work was sh*t. Even before the Super Cena parody of the finish, Cena took a punch to the face and acted like he had been tasered. Then, without firing up, he just stormed into a suplex. Didn't sell anger, defiance, adrenaline, nowt. Just did it.

And then, after handily beating f*ck out of the loser that Wyatt had become within minutes, he couldn't escape the cage because Harper and Rowan prevented him by making scary poses. The implication was that John Cena could have defeated hot new monster heel Bray Wyatt within like three minutes.

If only he did; we'd have been spared the nadir of WWE's Making Movies bullsh*t. Cena after chinning every massive hoss in sight was unsettled by a spooky kid.

You weren't responsible for it mate, calm down.
