WWE were keen to erase memories of the disastrous 2004 bout between Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg when they brought the ex-WCW Champion back into the fold for a "Fantasy Warfare Just Got Real" Survivor Series main event.

His destruction of 'The Beast' bowled everybody over almost as quick as Lesnar himself. A fabulous bit of booking, all of Goldberg's shortcomings were at long last obscured by a company that had seemed determined to shatter the mystique the last time around.
