The Good

The was nothing exceptional on the Judgment Day 2007 pay-per-view. In fact, the best match of the night was probably Chris Benoit and MVP's 2/3 Falls match over the United States Title, which MVP won by beating The Rabid Wolverine in two straight falls.

The Hardy Boys and Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch had a good World Tag Team Title match, too, but the Redneck Wrecking Crew's tweener status seemed to confuse the crowd and the reaction wasn't really there, despite the work itself being pretty damn good.

And Batista and Edge had an alright World Heavyweight Title match built around The Animal's leg injury. They'd have better PPV matches against each other in 2007, but this one was OK.

The Bad

Any supercard that has The Great Khali headlining can't be good. The punjabi giant's match with John Cena was smartly worked, yes, but didn't create the requisite excitement a PPV main event should. At eight minutes in length, at least it was kept short.

Umaga, Shane and Vince McMahon versus Bobby Lashley was ridiculously short, whereas CM Punk versus Elijah Burke felt way, way too long. Shawn Michaels versus Randy Orton, meanwhile, was more of an angle than an actual match, necessitated due to HBK's knee injury.

The Rest

This was Chris Benoit's last ever PPV match. The Benoit family tragedy would happen a month afterwards.
