Best Matches: Randy Orton vs. Chris Jericho, Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena, Sheamus vs. Cesaro Worst Match: Rusev vs. Mark Henry There were three above average matches on this show, plus a wild brawl by Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, so it was very enjoyable to watch. Orton vs. Jericho wasn't really built up that well, but it was just a case of WWE putting two veterans out there for 15 minutes and encouraging them to have a great match. That's exactly what they did. We knew Jericho wasn't going to win, but that was fine. Orton got the win clean and it was impressive when he hit the RKO on a leaping Jericho to put an end to it. Any time you give Cesaro 13 minutes on a PPV he's going to have an excellent match. That match with Sheamus was very hard hitting, fast paced and had a lot of awesome nearfalls too. Their styles mesh perfectly together. Sheamus winning was obvious, but it didn't diminish the match at all. Lesnar's SummerSlam rematch was a lot more competitive than that first match. Cena kept on fighting back and nearly won the WWE Title. Rollins showed up to attack, so it ended in a DQ, which was disappointing to a lot of people. This show was also significant because it was the last match that Brock Lesnar wrestled in WWE in 2014 even though he was the WWE Champion. The bad matches were mostly kept short and that's all we can ask for.
