"Rare" Stipulation Planned For Bayley/Lyra Valkyria Blowoff (WWE News)

It reportedly won't be Hell In A Cell, but WWE has something "rare" in mind for this Raw feud.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has received an update from internal sources about WWE's plans to blowoff the feud between Bayley and Lyra Valkyria. The pair went from friendly tag-team partners to heated rivals, and there were even some rumours that the veteran Bayley was set to depart the company completely after losing to Lyra back at the 18 July edition of Saturday Night's Main Event.

Instead, Bayley has stuck around on WWE's roster, and she's since put Valkyria over yet again on the 21 September episode of flagship show Raw. Now, it seems like higher-ups want to book a blowoff that'd do their rivalry justice.

Here's the fun bit: The stipulation chosen for that match would be considered "rare" for the women's division, and it'd be something fans could point to as a satisfying end point for the entire storyline. Interestingly though, sources also told WrestleVotes/Fightful that it likely wouldn't be Hell In A Cell.

WWE last used that gimmick match for Oba Femi's win over Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam in August. Before that, HIAC hadn't been seen since CM Punk toppled Drew McIntyre at Bad Blood in October 2024. So, in other words, the writers are unlikely to reach for the Cell so soon after SummerSlam (even though it would feel unique for the women's division).

The last Hell In A Cell encounter starring women was Bayley vs. Bianca Belair at the standalone HIAC 2021 PLE on 20 June that year. Over 5 years on, it'd be a surprise if the gimmick was handed to Bayley and Lyra. WWE is cooking up something else.
