Real Reason For CM Punk's Absence From AEW Television
Wondering why CM Punk was missing on last week's AEW Dynamite and Rampage?
AEW programming was notably devoid of 'The Best In The World' this past week.
Though both Dynamite and Rampage featured well-received performances from some of the promotion’s top stars, fans hoping to catch a glimpse of CM Punk as he sets his sights on the AEW World Championship were left wanting, leaving some to wonder what could have happened to MJF's Revolution 2022 conquerer.
According to a report from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, CM Punk has been busy filming on the set of Heels, where he will be reprising his role as veteran heel wrestler Ricky Rabies for the show’s upcoming second season.
“CM Punk will be part of the filming of the second season of the TV show Heels on Starz. Filming is over the next several weeks. That may be why he wasn’t on either show taped in San Antonio this week.”
While everyone is itching to see what Punk has in store for audiences now that his feud with MJF has reached its amazingly violent conclusion at this year's AEW Revolution pay-per-view, knowing that he's going to be a part of the highly-rated drama may make the wait well worth it.
