Released WWE Star Admits AEW Interest

This wrestler didn't get a fair shake on WWE's main roster. Time to give AEW a try?

Former WWE man Trevor Lee, who wrestled for the company as Cameron Grimes, has officially registered his interest in an AEW run. Now, it's over to Tony Khan. That All Elite roster is already stacked, but surely Tony can find space for one more. Right?!

Seriously though, Lee is game.

He told fans during a virtual signing for K&S WrestleFest that he also has interest "in absolutely every company" out there. Trevor is keeping his options open right now, but admits it'd be foolish to deny he'd sign on the dotted line with AEW if they came calling. That's smart business.

Lee put Tony Khan's promotion over as one that's been "shocking the culture" and "stirring up a firestorm that is the new era of wrestling". He's glad pro wrestlers have an alternative place to go work and make money, put it that way. So, is the next step for Trev a stint on Dynamite, Collision and Rampage?

Things didn't exactly work out well for the then-Grimes when he was called up from NXT to SmackDown in the summer of 2023. WWE cut him loose from contract this past April, but Lee is ready to get back on the horse and showcase his skills somewhere else.

Over to you, AEW.
