Released WWE Wrestler Teases NJPW Move

Another day, another social media tease from one of WWE NXT's discarded wrestlers...

Three days removed from seemingly calling out AEW TNT Champion Miro on Twitter, the wrestler formerly known as Bronson Reed has now taken aim at NJPW bruiser Tomohiro Ishii.

The 32-year-old tweeted the following during New Japan's Resurgence show on Saturday, giving up all pretence by the end:-

Ishii wrestled IMPACT Wrestling's Moose at Resurgence, bettering the big man in a typically hard-hitting bomb-fest. The Japanese brute will return to the United States for a series of NJPW STRONG tapings in November.

Reed's Ishii tweet came an hour after inserting himself into NJPW's name:-

The former NXT North American Champion wrestled as Jonah Rock before signing with WWE. Given that "Jonah" is now all over his social media accounts, it looks a safe bet that he'll be returning to this ring name now that he is free of the world's biggest wrestling promotion.

Reed was one of 13 NXT wrestlers released by WWE on 6 August, having been in the system since January 2019. If bound by a standard 30-day NXT non-compete clause, he will be free to appear and sign for other promotions from 5 September.
