Released WWE Wrestler Wants To Join AEW & Say "Screw You WWE"

On of WWE's Black Wednesday releases speaks out.

Deonna Purrazzo
WWE

Deonna Purrazzo was one of dozens of wrestlers let go by WWE during last week's Black Wednesday releases, though she was quick to hit social media and admit that she had been considering quitting the promotion anyway.

While 'The Virtuosa' is yet to sign with anywhere (understandable, given the circumstances), she has revealed in a new interview with Gary Cassidy that she would love to the opportunity to go to AEW and, in her words, say "screw you" to WWE.

"Britt Baker's my best friend," Purrazzo said. "She works there. They have a kick*ss women's division now with a lot of people I've never worked with, and it's a brand new product. I would love to experience that and be a part of it."

Purrazzo also expressed an interest in working with Impact Wrestling, before saying she'd like to go back to Japan, Australia, and England as well. To summarise, she'd "just love a shot at saying 'screw you, WWE!'"

Though packed with promise, Deonna had yet to make a true breakthrough in NXT's stacked women's division at the time of her release. Here's hoping she's able to make more of a mark elsewhere.
