Renee Young could be set to leave her position as the third person in Raw's announce team - if Dave Meltzer's report in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is accurate.

Meltzer writes that FOX TV officials are very, very high on the former Talking Smack host. They inherit SmackDown from 4 October onwards, and given that WWE reportedly want to give both main roster shows their own distinct broadcasting teams, this could to Renee rejoining Team Blue.

Young is already pegged to host a new in-studio show on FOX Sports 1, which is set to air every Tuesday night once the TV contract kicks in. Meltzer describes this show as WWE's version of UFC Tonight.

Renee currently finds herself in an odd position. Commentary isn't her strongest skill and she is widely criticised in her current role, but she has proven herself a tremendous broadcaster in the past. She might be one of WWE's most misused performers in that regard and FOX's opinion of her shouldn't come as a huge surprise, given that ESPN have reportedly tried to recruit her to front a sports show in the past.
