Report: Big Cass Set For IMPACT Wrestling Debut 'Imminently'
The former WWE star could debut as soon as tonight's Rebellion pay-per-view.
Former WWE star and beloved NXT icon Big Cass is reportedly set to make his IMPACT Wrestling debut imminently, according to Gary Cassidy of Inside The Ropes.
The report states that the seven-footer could debut as soon as tonight's Rebellion pay-per-view or on an upcoming episode of IMPACT's weekly show on AXS TV. What makes this story that extra bit intriguing is that there should be a surprise replacement made during one of tonight's bouts.
Eric Young of Violent By Design - who are set to tangle with Eddie Edwards, Willie Mack, James Storm, and Chris Sabin - is scheduled to compete in said match, but is suffering from a legitimate torn ACL suffered at the last set of IMPACT tapings. He's surely going to be replaced here; perhaps Big Cass is the guy to replace him.
Now known as Caz XL, the tag partner of Enzo Amore recently returned to professional wrestling for the first time since 2019, appearing for Doc Gallows' Lariato Pro Wrestling company. The big guy had previously been on a hiatus due to various troubles with his mental health.
Since last April alone, IMPACT Wrestling have signed a plethora of ex-WWE guys, from Brian Myers to Deonna Purrazzo to the aforementioned Eric Young. Cas XL will make for a more than worthy addition.
