Report: Bray Wyatt Has Unique Offer To Consider... And It's Not From WWE
Free agent continues to garner attention despite not wrestling for 17 months.
Windham Rotunda is still one of the most-talked-about free agents in professional wrestling, despite being out of the business for more than a year.
The former Bray Wyatt was released from WWE in July 2021. Since then, numerous rumors have surfaced of him returning to wrestling, including fans and critics attempting to interpret several of his cryptic tweets. But still, he has not found his way back to WWE or to AEW as of yet.
Fightful Select reports that while a return to WWE is more likely under Triple H than it was when Vince McMahon was running the show, any potential offer from the industry leader isn't the only bit of interest in the Eater of Worlds.
Fightful has learned that there is a "standing offer from a startup wrestling company" for Rotunda. While there isn't any indication about whether Windham has any interest or even accepted, the offer is reportedly "serious." However, what someone defines as "serious" can be different from another person. The heavy implication to Fightful was that this would be actor (and former WWE writer) Freddie Prinze Jr.'s planned wrestling company.
Prinze had planned to heavily feature Karrion Kross in his promotion, but that obviously was scuttled when Kross returned to WWE, forcing him to readjust.
Lastly, the report indicates that AEW had "at least some interest" in Wyatt at some point, but there aren't any details available about how serious they were or how far that progressed.
