When Kenny Omega will be cleared to return to All Elite Wrestling remains a mystery, with Dave Meltzer reporting in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that "everyone is silent" about the situation, including Kenny himself.

This was stated as part of a write-up on AAA intending to book Omega vs. El Hijo del Vikingo for the company's Mega Championship as an upcoming main event. This bout had been rumoured prior to Kenny taking time away from wrestling in November 2021, which resulted in him relinquishing the Mega Championship following a 223-day reign.

The 38-year-old's break was to undergo multiple surgeries on and recover from myriad health issues, including shoulder and knee problems, vertigo, a hernia, and possibly more. Spring 2022 was initially pinpointed as a potential return window. When it became clear that this was too optimistic, things got cloudy, with the former AEW World Champion's recovery seemingly more difficult than originally expected.

Meltzer reported in late May that Omega has resigned himself to never being 100% physically again. The Canadian is now hoping that this current recovery period will help prolong his run as an effective professional wrestler, easing the damage done to his body over the past few years at the same time.

All the best to Omega as he continues to recover.
