Report: MJF Vs. Wardlow To Open AEW Double Or Nothing 2022
Finally, a resolution to tonight's MJF saga?
MJF vs. Wardlow is due to open tonight's AEW Double or Nothing 2022 pay-per-view.
This is according to Sports Illustrated's Justin Barrasso, who reports that with MJF and Wardlow opening, The Young Bucks vs. The Hardys will go on second, followed by Jade Cargill and Anna Jay's TBS Championship match.
The Anarchy in the Arena match pitting the Jericho Appreciation Society against Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, Eddie Kingston, Santana, and Ortiz will play out immediately before the main event, AEW World Champion 'Hangman' Adam Page vs. CM Punk.
The status of MJF vs. Wardlow has been the subject of mass speculation for the past 24 hours. It stems from MJF no-showing a Fan Fest meet and greet on Saturday, then an unknown party booking a plane ticket for him out of Las Vegas that evening, though he didn't end up boarding the flight. A few hours ago, it was reported that the 26-year-old hadn't yet been seen at the arena.
MJF is currently in a contract dispute with AEW, angling for an increased salary and parity with stars like CM Punk and Bryan Danielson, who have come into the company on bumper deals in recent times.
