Report: Nia Jax Heading For WWE Raw, Not SmackDown

The Irresistible Force is cleared to return, but where will she land?

Nia Jax was cleared to return to active WWE competition earlier this week, though there are now conflicting reports on which brand 'The Irresistible Force' will end up wrestling on.

Friday brought an eWrestlingNews.com story claiming that backstage talk had Jax showing up at tonight's episode of SmackDown. Dave Meltzer has since countered that story in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, noting that current plans have Jax working Raw, not SmackDown, with the writeup specifically mentioning the blue brand reports.

Meltzer states that "it's just a question of when they want to start her back." The story about her being medically cleared was accurate, it seems.

The former Raw Women's Champion has been away from WWE since just after WrestleMania 35, when she underwent major surgery to repair two torn ACLs. She had been teaming with Tamina at the time of her injury, though her (former?) partner hasn't been on television lately either and there's currently no word on whether or not they'll reconvene whenever Jax re-emerges.

Whatever she ends up going, it's good to hear that Nia is fit, healthy, and ready to go once more, having overcome such a major injury.
