Report On TNA Wrestling Not Paying Staff On Time
More concerns for TNA as employees complain about late pay.
The problems continue for TNA Wrestling as Brian Fritz of the Sporting News reports that 35 to 40 members of TNA's production team were informed that they won't receive paychecks from May's TV tapings until July 15 at the earliest. The staff was told the news during a production meeting on Thursday. A long time TNA staff member spoke to Fritz on the condition of anonymity and said matter of factly: Its the same old TNA bulls." Other staff members were said to be "pi**ed off" about the payments being so late. Ron and Don Harris, who wrestled for many years under a number of different names, were put in charge of the production team a few months ago. They apparently told employees that if youre not happy, just shake our hands and walk away." It was noted by Fritz that freelance workers in the television industry should be paid within 30 days while many companies pay within 14 days. Back in February, TNA production staff weren't paid on time and many of them had to wait approximately 65 days to get what they were owed. It took over 60 days to pay them after TNA did tapings in January in the UK as well. TNA is taping shows in Orlando at Universal Studios all weekend. They aired an Impact episode on tape delay on Wednesday, then taped future shows on Thursday and Friday, more tapings on Saturday and then they'll air the live Slammiversary PPV on Sunday night. Morale has been low among the talent in TNA for weeks because management keeps hiding things from them and the production stuff appears to be even more frustrated.
