Report: “Several” New Additions Coming To IMPACT Wrestling’s Knockouts Division
Could any of Mickie James, Chelsea Green, or The IIconics be on their way to IMPACT Wrestling?
Following the departure of Nevaeh from IMPACT Wrestling, it has been reported by Fightful Select that "several" new additions will be made to the company's Knockouts division in "the next few weeks and months".
As we already know, former Knockouts and Knockouts Tag Team Champion Taylor Wilde will be returning to the IMPACT Zone by the end of the month, while a previous report by Fightful notes that former NXT star Rachael Ellering worked the company's latest set of television tapings. Her match(es) is yet to air.
WWE's release of Mickie James, Chelsea Green, Jessica McKay (FKA Billie Kay), and Cassie Lee (FKA Peyton Royce) this past Thursday makes this story a whole lot more interesting. Obviously, none of them can actually come into IMPACT until their 90-day non-compete clause expires, but you'd have to imagine IMPACT executives will be eyeing them up, particularly in the case of former Knockouts Champions, Mickie and Chelsea.
IMPACT currently have two knockouts matches slated for their Rebellion pay-per-view on Sunday, 25 April; Tenille Dashwood challenges for Deonna Purrazzo's Knockouts Championship, whereas Fire N Flava defend the Knockouts Tag Team Championships against Jordynne Grace and a mystery partner.
Expect to see someone like Taylor Wilde or Thea Trinidad - the former Zelina Vega - in that spot.
