Don't expect The Deadman to walk away from WWE... well, EVER.

Remember earlier this year, when the announcement that The Undertaker was set to appear at Starrcast II led to speculation that he was finally walking away from WWE after 29 years under Vince McMahon's employ?

Those days are dead, and this story is the last nail in the coffin.

Per Dave Meltzer in this week's issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Undertaker is now effectively under "lifetime contract" with the promotion. The terms of his deal don't explicitly state this, but, according to the writeup, the contract 'The Deadman' signed in April is so long that it is, for all intents and purposes, a deal for life.

Undertaker signing his new agreement coincided with him pulling out of Starrcast. It can therefore be assumed that his new terms stipulate that he can't accept work outwith WWE, which is perfectly understandable from the promotion's point of view.

Extreme Rules was a stunning in-ring comeback for 'Taker, who rolled back the years with an awesome performance in an all-action tag team match pitting him and Roman Reigns against Drew McIntyre and Shane McMahon. Here's hoping he has a few more bouts like that left in the tank.
