Alexa Bliss is currently taking time off from WWE.

Per PWInsider's Mike Johnson (via the site's Elite service), Bliss has not been backstage since Royal Rumble 2023 (28 January), where she was defeated by Raw Women's Champion Bianca Belair. Bliss, who has been in Bray Wyatt's orbit for the past few months, was accosted by a spooky video after the Belair loss, hinted at a reunion with the former 'Fiend.'

Johnson reports that Bliss' absence is temporary - and down to her exit from storylines. WWE knew prior to the Bianca match that Alexa would be taking time off, too.

Bliss isn't injured. There's currently no word if she asked for time off or if it was dictated by her current storylines, but the company understood it was going to happen prior to the Rumble.

It was stated, too, that Bliss vs. Belair was agented to make Bianca look strong as Raw Women's Champion, with Alexa's planned time off in mind.

Bliss' ongoing storyline with Bray has seen the Wyatt-affiliated Uncle Howdy cross over to Raw, though Wyatt himself is affiliated with the SmackDown brand. Bray defeated LA Knight at the Rumble.
