WWE might list Bray Wyatt as SmackDown's top babyface act at the moment, but Brock Lesnar recently turned down the opportunity to work with the supernatural star.

This is per Fightful Select - and comes as part of a wider update on Brock's creative.

It is stated that while there's no word on when, exactly, Bray was pitched as a potential WrestleMania 39 opponent for Lesnar, it was still being mentioned shortly before Elimination Chamber 2023 (18 February). The idea was nixed by Lesnar himself, though his reason is unclear.

Brock is now slotted in to face Omos at 'Mania. Fightful notes that WWE has a "backup" option, though it isn't factored into current plans. Lesnar has personally given the "okay" for the clash, which, according to WrestleVotes, was pushed through by Vince McMahon. Although Fightful were unable to confirm this report, sources close to Brock have indicated it "could be true."

With Lesnar out of the picture, Wyatt looks set to face Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania. Bray had challenged the winner of Lashley and Lesnar's Elimination Chamber 2023 match on the SmackDown prior. Bobby technically "won" that bout, doing so via disqualification.

Bray's last opponent, LA Knight, has scarcely appeared on WWE television since losing to Wyatt at Royal Rumble 2023 (28 January).
