For those wondering who WWE views as the top babyface on SmackDown right now, the answer is Bray Wyatt.

Speaking on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted how Wyatt is listed internally as the blue brand's #1 babyface act.

This was addressed as Meltzer and co-host Bryan Alvarez discussed which names may be positioned to challenge for Roman Reigns' Undisputed WWE Universal Championship should the Tribal Chief - as many expect - defeat Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble this weekend.

While Meltzer detailed how Wyatt is the biggest name that Reigns has "not worked with" during his current run as the Head of the Table, the Observer founder also added how it's unlikely that we'll be seeing Roman vs. Bray any time soon. Interestingly, Meltzer mentioned how the Bloodline leader feels that those who work with Bray Wyatt end up looking "a lot worse than going in".

It remains to be seen what lies ahead for Roman Reigns should he indeed emerge victorious over Owens on Saturday, with many predicting Cody Rhodes to win this year's men's Royal Rumble match and face off with Roman at WrestleMania 39. Of course, there's also those fans who are hopeful that, despite reports to the contrary, it will be The Rock squaring off with Reigns at the Showcase of the Immortals, whilst there is also still the small matter of something with Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns if and when the Honorary Uce is booted from the Bloodline. There was even talk this very week that 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin had been pitched to face Roman at 'Mania 39.

For Bray Wyatt, he'll be facing LA Knight in a Mountain Dew Pitch Black offering at the Royal Rumble in a matter of days. Elsewhere, there's also the looming presence of Uncle Howdy, those persistent rumblings of Wyatt soon heading up a new faction, and the potential for this to likewise all involve Alexa Bliss. In fact, certain speculation suggests that we could see Wyatt vs. Howdy as a WrestleMania match this year - with the general belief being that the person portraying Howdy right now is Bray's real-life brother, Bo Dallas.

In terms of when Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt last wrestled against each other, than was on a February 2018 edition of Raw, where Roman picked up the win to qualify for that year's Elimination Chamber match; a Chamber match that the then-Big Dog won in order to earn himself a shot at Brock Lesnar's Universal Title at WrestleMania 34.
