Vince McMahon was apparently "significantly late" for last night's episode of WWE Raw, and swung his creative cleaver all over the evening's plans after arriving in the afternoon.

This is according to a new report from Fightful Select. It is stated that McMahon actually ended up missing the start of the pre-Raw creative meeting, but still made significant changes to WWE's existing plans when he finally got to the building.

Braun Strowman vs. Randy Orton was pulled from last night's Raw, though this may not have been related to Vince's lateness. PWInsider are reporting that the match was canned before the production meeting began.

Built from last week's main event Triple Threat, in which Orton was pinned by Drew McIntyre after eating a Claymore following his own RKO on Braun, it would have been the first time Strowman and Orton had ever wrestled one-on-one in WWE.

Instead, Orton ended up losing to Riddle and Braun spent his Raw teaming with McIntyre against ex-RETRIBUTION members T-Bar and Mace.

Swooping last-minute changes aren't anything new in WWE, where nothing is concrete until it happens on air. "Card subject to change" is an immortal disclaimer that rings as true today as it did thirty years ago. Still, it can't be a lot of fun to deal with.
