Report: WWE Draft 2020 Set For October

We may finally have a date for WWE's next big roster reshuffle.

The next WWE Draft is currently planned to go down sometime in October.

This is according to a new report from the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer, who broke the story on Sunday's edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, stating that the promotion is currently deciding between one of two dates. Vince McMahon and co. had previously whittled this down from five different options, with Meltzer noting that they may decide to hold it in September instead.

News of the October roster reshuffle comes on the back of a Fightful Select report stating that WWE had originally planned on holding their latest Draft in August. The ongoing global health crisis put this on hold, leading to the promotion changing its mind multiple times, having considered several September dates as well. Now, October looks likeliest.

This will be WWE's first full-on Draft since October 2019, when the RAW and SmackDown rosters were freshened up ahead of SD's move to FOX. It is currently unclear if the 2020 Draft will take a similar form or mimic that of the smaller-scale Superstar Shake-Ups. Either way, it looks like the rosters will undergo a facelift within a few months.
