Following on from this week's news that WWE was working on a match for 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin at WrestleMania 38, it appears the promotion has something equally huge up its sleeve.

This is according to Dave Meltzer. Speaking on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, he stated that WWE still has one additional surprise besides 'Stone Cold' to come - and it'll supposedly be "Austin-level".

Meltzer noted that the list of people who'd fit that billing is short, dismissing the idea of it being Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson or John Cena as both are busy over WrestleMania weekend (2 and 3 April). This could change, however, and may even be a swerve.

The Undertaker may also fit the billing. Having not appeared since a Survivor Series 2020 retirement ceremony within the ThunderDome's video-screen dystopia, the 56-year-old's name is constantly linked to a return, particularly as he hasn't competed in front of a live crowd since February 2020.

Though Austin's WWE comeback is yet to be confirmed, Kevin Owens has been speculated as a potential WrestleMania 38 opponent. If 'Stone Cold' does opt to wrestle again, it'll be for the first time since March 2003, when he fought The Rock at 'Mania 19.
